Are There Alternatives to Serving Jail Time?

Posted By The Law Office of Timothy Hessinger || 14-Mar-2013

Being arrested for a crime, especially when it is a first time offense, can be a very frightening experience. In Tampa, FL, the type of criminal charges you are facing, whether or not it is your first offense, whether the charges against you are felony or misdemeanor charges and many others factors will determine if you will be facing jail time or, if you may qualify for one of a variety of alternatives to incarceration. Some of the alternatives to serving jail time include probation, work release, residential drug or alcohol treatment programs, house arrest or community control. To determine if you may meet the qualifications for one of these incarceration alternatives, we advise you consult with one of our firm's knowledgeable criminal attorneys.

When you contact our firm, we will be able to thoroughly review the charges against you, answer any questions you may have, advise you of your legal rights, evaluate your qualifications to be considered for a probation, or maybe a work release program, and help you determine the best course of action to pursue. One of the advantages of having a variety of alternatives to serving jail time, is that should the judge determine you do not meet the qualifications for one alternative, there are other options we can pursue on your behalf. Our ultimate goal is to avoid incarceration sentences in all our cases. That is why we have an in-depth understanding of all the alternatives available and we work diligently to pursue all available options for the benefit of our clients.

If you or a loved one has been arrested for a crime in Tampa, FL, we recommend you contact an experienced Tampa criminal lawyer at The Law Office of Timothy Hessinger right away so that we can take immediate measures to help you stay out of jail.
